Glasshoppers

Migrated over the hills of time, gathering dust in the dents of every hill happened. They grew roots, and as the roots moved, there cast a shadow mimicking the landscape of the dents, eating the light like acid, taking it from the world over there, and the world over there. As the casted shadow reflects, it devours the frame, leaking the vacuum. Emerged from the hills, nurtured in the dents, nourished by the dust, they hatch in the vacuum. Creatures of both the world over there and the world over there, born in neither. They hop from the hills to the dents, and back. They hop, and the dents gather dust.
