This Zine organization NMS features a group between
Yukitomo Hamasaki [ sound artist / founder of Japanese sound / art publishing organization mAtter ]
Miyuki [ co-founder ]
and
shotahirama [ Tokyo based Japanese-American sound artist organizing SIGNALDADA,
currently working under mAtter from early 2010 ]
- a continuing collaboration between three highly regarded designers.
[ So what are we doing ]
We made this first issue of NMS Zine in the same spirit
as the existing mAtter website, CD, DVD, design, and anyother release products.
#000 is a 15 page zine contains literature ("All the pretty horses"- introduction written by shotahirama),
photos (by Jaime De Almeda), Graphics (design by Yukitomo Hamasaki).
All of our texts are written and translate by shotahirama,
editing by Yukitomo Hamasaki and Miyuki,
page designing by mAtter,
produced by mAtter and SIGNALDADA, NMS.
It may seem trivial,
but we still believe in the importance of the basics of atelier work,
of how sharing your creativity with others can be something genuinely
interesting that can lead to overturning your world and pointing you in new directions.
These days we have the possibility to live our lives however we want.
We find most people more interesting in the expression of their work
and creativity than in the details of their everyday life.
