mAtter
濱崎幸友を中心にサウンドデザイン・建築・プロダクトデザインなど、
様々なメディアにアプローチするサウンド＆デザインレーベル。
他分野からの概念をmatter的に解釈/再構築し、高密度な空間の構築を指向する。
特定のメンバーを固定せずに様々なプロジェクトによってメンバーが入れ替わる。
主にメンバーは音楽家、建築家、映像作家、プログラマー、文筆家によって構成される。

mAtter is a sound & design label, with works centering around Yukitomo Hamasaki. The label take an approach to various types of media, such as sound design, architecture, and product design. It interprets/restructures these concepts in a lot of different ways, based on mAtter's own perspective, with the goal of constructing dense space. The members of the project aren't specified, and they switch depending on the various projects. The members mainly consist of musicians, architects, video artists, and writers.

18歳の頃より青山MIXでのDJをきっかけに音楽キャリアをスタート。
'00年、DJ HAMASAKI名義でMIX TAPE『INCOMMUNICABLE』をシリーズで2種リリース。
18歳の頃より青山MIXでのDJをきっかけに音楽キャリアをスタート。
'00年、DJ HAMASAKI名義でMIX TAPE『INCOMMUNICABLE』をシリーズで2種リリース。
英国でも流通されるなど、自身の音楽遍歴を反映させつつ芯の通った内容に、高い評価が集まる。
2004年にユニットnothing's clear名義で"adjustructureをangel's eggより発表。

adjustructureを制作後、レコードからMax/MSP等のソフトウェアを軸に実験音楽やサウンドアートのイベントに積極的に参加。

'07年にサウンドとデザインを軸にしたレーベルmAtterを開始。

HAMASAKI YUKITOMO began his music career at the age of 18, taking his cues from djing at AOYAMA MIX in Tokyo.
In 2000、he released his mix tape "INCOMMUNICABLE" under the name DJ HAMASAKI. It was distributed in the UK and has became highly regarded for the steadfast style, which reflects his musical background. In 2004 he has released "adjustructure" from angel's egg under the name of his unit, Nothing's Clear. After the creation, he has been keen to join some experimental music and sound art events which revolved around the use of software MAX/MSP, instead of vinyl.
He has participated in Sound Cave at Tokyo Designer's Block, Laptop orchestra, laptop orchestra for visual etc... In 2007, he launched his sound and design label, mAtter. As soon as he launched the label, he began to offer the concept. He has provided the concepts for CD jackets and architectures since then.

Junji Koyanagi
小柳淳嗣
北海道札幌市出身。
武蔵野美術大学大学院デザイン専攻映像コース修了。
映像作品から制作活動を始め、その延長として音、メディアアート作品等の制作を行う。音と映像による表現を中心に据え、 それらによる空間構成、環境設計をコンセプトに活動を展開している。
ソロでの活動以外に、pico pico stomachsなどのユニットでの活動、 舞踏、ダンスとのコラボレーション、music videoの制作などを行っている。
また、視覚と聴覚の体験を中心としたコンセプトをもとに活動する団体 "ONZO"の運営とイベント"Phantom Bug"の主催、アーティスト同士のコミュニケーションハブとなる機会の提供などを目的とした"アツマリ"、環境、空間を幅広い観点から総合的に認識するためのプロジェクト"celescape"の運営を行っている。
その他、ICCにて行われたプロジェクト"Lib-LIVE!"(2005-)、 フランスと日本で行われたプロジェクト"SETSUZOKU"(2003-2004)、武蔵野美術大学と多摩美術大学の共同プロジェクト"nu:"(2003-2004)、 イギリスと日本で行われたプロジェクト"traversing territories"(2005-2006)などに参加。

He is creating image works, sound works and media art works (use image and sound chiefly). And He play audio_visual live too.
His works concept is composed space and designed environment by image and sound.
And he is active as "pico pico stomachs" (audio improvisation unit consist of 4 member) and other audio_visual unit. He collaborate with dance, performance and butou (Japanese contemporary dance), and he create music video too.
He manage "ONZO" (sound, image, performance, and design of space group) and "Phantom Bug" (audio_visual and performance event). And he manege "Atsumari" (with each other) and "celescape" (re-cognizance project from wide range of environment) too.
Other project he participated is "Lib-LIVE!"(collaborative project at ICC , 2005- ), "SETSUZOKU"(French artist and Japanese artist project , 2003-2004),"nu:"(MAU students and TAU students project , 2003-2004),"traversing territories"(English artist and Japanese artist project , 2005-2006).
